New Year’s Skincare – Brand Watch – Omorovicza

om

As you will know, I am always on the lookout for specialised skincare. Niche products that are hardworking and effective. It’s not easy to find something that feels great on the skin and actually serves a purpose. Many mass market products just offer feelgood factor and a lot of marketing to shift as many of their products as possible off the shelves.

Now, Omorovicza is the antithesis of said mass market beauty. A Hungarian brand, yes, you read right, there’s already something interesting about it! Formulated using 200-year-old thermal waters, known for healing, their story started in the 1800’s when the family built a spa to harness its properties in Budapest. So impressed with the anti-ageing properties of the mineral-rich waters, they enlisted a Nobel prize-winning lab to pioneer a skincare range and this is it!

The winning formula and what makes the products so effective is the way in which the minerals are delivered to the deeper layers of skin. It is all very well applying product to the face but many just sit on the surface. Omorovicza’s patented delivery system, Hydro Mineral Transference, basically reconfigures the minerals into a molecular structure that the body recognises and absorbs. This system is used throughout the whole range and is why it is so effective.

I have been testing a selection of their products for over a month now and the fact that I am still using them is testament to how much I like them. I chose carefully and I chose the products that I thought offered something over and above the norm.

omLets start with the Cleansing Foam. It’s suitable for all skin types. Mine is sensitive to dry, so a real test. I love wash off cleansers as they are quick and easy to use. With this one, you use a teeny tiny amount (so it lasts ages), it foams beautifully, smells nice and leaves skin feeling really clean, yet soft.

Next, the Illuminating Mosturiser. This is a really lovely simple yet effective product. I have been using it mostly at night. It smells fresh and ‘healthy’ if that is at all possible and glides on and sinks in well with just the right amount of hydration for my dry skin.  It has the added benefit of ruby crystals which flatter and illuminate without overdoing it – no pearly effect!

Under any moisturiser night or day, if you really want to look after your skin then a serum works wonders. The Gold Flash Firming Serum does just what is says. its ultra light so that you don’t feel as if you are layering product on top of product and its gold element has fantastic anti-inflammatory properties.

omMy last two choices I have been combining together and are the closest thing to ‘no make-up’ make up that I will ever wear. I hate foundation and the feel of it on my skin so mixing the superb Complexion Enhancer( it has an SPF too) which is a tinted moisturiser without the cloying chalkiness of many others, with the Complexion Corrector (it’s a primer, moisturiser and sunscreen in one) I end up with a radiant yet super-natural look.

omThese two are literally just souped-up moisturisers that flatter the complexion perfectly. I am very fair so I really like mixing the two together but both work separately for slightly different looks both with a dewy finish.

The thermal water is combined with top quality ingredients, the finest vitamins, pure essential oils and natural scents from Grasse. The quality is obvious from first application and after a month of use my skin speaks for itself.
