Turning Back the Years with Ellansé – Clinicbe

March 9, 2018 by admin

I’m sitting here comfortably, waiting in the very Zen -like, luxurious ClinicBe, in Chelsea, (just behind Harrods, for the avid shoppers) waiting for the Emla cream to work. Today I’m giving myself back the 2 years of sleepless nights stolen by my toddler, along with all the self-inflicted stresses and strains of having a 6 year old in private school – still a year to go until seven plus but trying to keep up with the helicopter parents, pushing their children above and beyond and I’m in the same boat with a very unwilling (poor) son, rowing away frantically! Top Beauty Product of the Year -ReLuma Skin Illuminating Anti-ageing Serum

November 14, 2017 by admin

This is a post from last year but just an update as ReLuma is now available in the UK. Brilliant news. About time we had a real advance in skincare.

Another glorious day of rain in London. Week 27, 13 weeks to go and things are becoming more real to me at long last. I think that I just about feel pregnant! Now being the time that my (once) petite 5’1 and a half(!) frame has an extremely large protrusion jutting out from the front, it’s no surprise really. It’s funny how obsessed with weight and size we are. I really thought that when I became pregnant that I would almost be like a different person. That I would change, grow up and just be so happy and ‘blooming’ and ‘pregnant’ that I wouldn’t care. In fact, I really expected a whole new pregnant me; an entirely different, more grown up, mother-to-be but no! No! No! No! Major preconception proved to be untrue. I feel exactly the same. I’m now moving the timeline on slightly for preconceptions and I’m thinking that once baby is born in November that I’ll feel more grown-up. I’ll be a real mummy then. I can almost hear your reaction! I know, I know. I bet nothing changes. Of course it won’t. As my mother once said to me only a few years ago, she still feels the same way that she did at eighteen (funnily enough she almost looks it too and she still has that sense of naivety that is so sweet). Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow – A Game Changer!

August 15, 2017 by admin

This one I’ve been using sparingly. It’s lasted almost a year but I use cheap imitations every so often to conserve it. Every single time I use it, I get told I’m ‘glowing ‘, ‘what have I done to my skin?’This product has a cult following and no surprises why. It is the best in it’s field. Continue Reading

10 Years Younger – The 8 Point Lift

September 11, 2016 by admin

I’m on my way to the City. Back again to my old stomping ground. This time not to work, nor to meet up for drinks with old colleagues surprisingly.
I’m here at The Private Clinic because I need to look ten years younger. 43 and nearly my birthday with two under fives. In fact, I would have said that I was ageing really, really well up until my angel Gabriel was born last October. Angel in every way bar one – he hasn’t quite mastered the art of sleeping yet. It’s slowly happening but for at least seven of the eight months it was the norm for me to wake up every 2-3 hours. That’s fine when you have a newborn – you run on the love hormones and the novelty but believe me it takes its toll when it’s relentless. Sleep deprivation really is a form of torture.
Anyway, the young me became old, haggard me with big black rings around my eyes; something I’m not used to sporting. Continue Reading
