A review of the Little Angel by the Sea an immersive production by the Little Angel Theatre for age 3-9

When you find that you can’t stop humming the song to the children’s theatre production that you attended the previous day and you are considering looking for it online to play in the car, you know you are on to a winner. Touring the UK, Tiddler and other Terrific Tales, the much-loved book by the bestselling duo Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler (‘there’s  no such thing as a Gruffalo’!) is really as teriffic as it’s fishy tales. Sleepyhead is yet another cracker from the people who do puppetry best – The Little Angel Theatre, Islington. Written and directed by Michael Fowkes and aimed at the 2-5 year old age group, this 45 minute show, as always, captivates its core audience, cajoling them on to their feet and towards the stage when the bubbles arrive, but also has a sense of humour running through it that makes the adults chuckle too.
